We’re currently recruiting for a Forensic Disability Team Leader to join our forensic disability team located in Melbourne. As the newest member to our team reporting directly to our Disability Services Manager, you’ll be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members throughout the forensic disability programs on a daily basis, ensuring the team provides quality services and safeguards to our clients that promote opportunities for meaningful participation and active inclusion in society.A day in the life as a Forensic Disability Team Leader with CareChoice, may see you supporting your team with:Coaching, mentoring, guidance and support to identify risk increasing behavioursCoordination of supports to complex client programsMaintain and audit client records for compliance purposesCrisis management and incident report follow upAssess staff performance on an ongoing basisParticipate in on-call and recall duties as rosteredAbout youAs a positive role model with a ‘can do attitude’, you’ll have a high degree of initiative and strong desire to achieve outstanding results. Ideally, you’ll have:Previous experience supporting clients with complex needs in the communityRelevant qualifications in the disability and community servicesA genuine desire to ensure that clients receive exceptional serviceWillingness to work as part of a team and cultivate a strength-based approachKnowledge of restrictive practicesKnowledge and experience writing person-centred plansExcellent attention-to-detail and supervisory skillsValid driver’s licenceAble to provide evidence of COVID-19 Vaccination Status Position Description
